May 2018 will be here before we know it. If we have learned anything from the past 18 months it is that our government needs new people. We want to start that reform close to home by electing new councillors to the Kensington and Chelsea Council.
So take a moment – who is your smartest friend – the one who is really in the loop? The one who keeps up with the news and pays attention to what is happening in your neighbourhood? The one who asks all the questions? The one who always has a good idea to fix whatever problem you come up against? Or is that you?
They should consider running for council. We mean that and we would like to meet.
You don’t have to be a legal expert or a developer to run for local council. You don’t have to be an insider or the best friend of an elected official. You don’t need to be particularly political. You have to have good ideas, care about Kensington and Chelsea, and be willing to work. Many councillors fulfil their council obligations whilst caring for their family and having full-time jobs.
If that sounds like you – or anyone you know – please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information on becoming a councillor look at https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/councillors-and-committees/councillors/how-become-councillor.
